John Perrott trained in remedial and sports massage in 1999. He trained as a manipulative therapist in 2001. He completed courses on acupuncture and craniosacral therapy including work with babies and pregnant mothers. He completed an honours degree in osteopathy in 2003, with a dissertation on treating shoulder injuries and subluxation. (He is not registered as an osteopath). He trained in manual lymphatic drainage under Dr Bruno Chikly. He is a qualified manual handling trainer. He trained in acupuncture in 2003 and keeps up with current trends. He combines acupuncture with a unique blend of muscle energy techniques and pelvic alignment. He has helped many women to improve their chances of fertility and a healthy pregnancy.
In 1988 John trained in Advanced Food Hygiene with a credit pass, and ran food hygiene courses. He advised the health food industry on nutrition for 11 years. He is a BCU canoe coach and holds the 5 star in open canoeing, the highest river leadership award (and 4 star in kayaks and sea kayaks). He has been a Duke of Edinburgh gold assessor both for mountains and river expeditions. He assessed the first major wilderness expedition in Canada sharing many survival skills with the young people.
